My Redhawk is in .44 Mag, not .357. I have some hot loads for the R/H that push a 200 grain bullet at 1600 fps! Actually they are deer hunting loads. Before buying this ammo, I called the manufacturer (here in Georgia) and asked if they would be safe in a R/H. I was assured that it was one of the revolvers that they tested the load in before turning it loose. Makes about 1200 ft/lbs of muzzle energy. Kinda "snappy" recoil also!These are loads that I would not dare put into a Smith 29.

Give me some time, the "herd" is growing! There are also, .22 rimfires .25s, .32s, .380s, .38 Supers, 9mms, .45 Colt and .45 ACPs. One should not leave anything out, now should one? Still looking for a really nice Shooting Master!

On the 686 you would do much better getting a pre-lock model. It will keep its value even as a shooter and you can get a nice one still for much less than a new lock model.

Also, not sure why you want a 6". Not much gained in accuracy IMHO and the power increase is negligible. The 4" is much more portable, especially when going hunting. You may like to take it when you go bow hunting for hogs as a backup where allowed ...

Talking about shooting small pigs - you can see it done here along with a bunch more of ..357 S&W wisdom. Nice video as always from hickok45 ...

They are both real nice and royal blue to boot. The 8" is still at the shop and has the original box. lots of tire kickers..
