Movie title??

Ok, I'm putting myself at the mercy of Pelican BB.

I'm trying to think of the title of a movie, it's driving me crazy. Starts at a prep school and is about some kind of contest about greek mythology, ( I think). The professor running the contest gets screwed by one of his students. The student eventually becomes very successful and wants to host the contest at something like a reunion and invites the key players back. The scam is discovered in the end. It was a successful movie probably 20 years ago.

WTF is the name of the movie??? Help me before I shoot myself and put me out of my misery.

Got it. Kevin Kline in " the Emperor's Club". Been trying to come up with that for a day now.

Never heard of it. Is it worth watching?

The Emperor's Club is a 2002 drama film that tells the story of a prep school teacher and his students. Based on Ethan Canin's short story "The Palace Thief," the film is directed by Michael Hoffman and stars Kevin Kline. The film is set at a fictional boys' prep school, St. Benedict's Academy, located in Andover, Massachusetts. The film was filmed at Emma Willard School in Troy, New York, although the fictional St. Benedict's Academy is said to be modeled after Phillips Academy, a prestigious preparatory school located in Andover, Massachusetts.

Though Kline is excellent in his portrayal of Hundert, the movie is too dull and sentimental to distinguish itself from other titles in its genre.
