I'd like the triple black one
A Ford ad soon to be on TV...during the Daytona 500. Anybody know who the hottie is in the opening scene?
I'd take mine in the triple black...the last one in the video. For some reason, can't get 650 horsepower and 200 MPH top end bone stock out of my head... The New 2013 Mustang - YouTube

Love the last scene with the little girl in pink - and her inner dark side!
Tell you what, Ford is flat throwin' down. We just bought a used Ford Edge for me and I absolutely love it. 265 horse V6 and 24 mpg on the 2,000 mile drive home. Plus my Edge is "Blazing Copper" which I think goes just fabulous with my hair! angela

The car is awesome. But I don't know if I'd call the chick in the beginning a hottie. Of course hot is in the eye of the beholder.

My wife is all kinds of hot 'n' bothered for the Edge. I think it will be the next family-mobile; especially considering we are due for another rug-rat in two months! No negative opinions on it? What would you recommend for options?

If I was in the market for a vehicle that size, I would have to look at an Edge. With the sport package they are particularly good looking rides... |

Cool ad, but the car does nothing for me. I can't believe they still have those rear turn signal light things. First time I saw one I thought it was some loser who bought some cheap doo-dad addon dealy, then I discovered they come that way. I'm sick of the retro muscle car thing - the challengers and camaros do nothing for me either. But definitely a cool ad.

The brand new ones have a 3.7 available in the Sport and the ecoboost which in this is a turbo four. Supposed to make good power, and get better fuel economy if you're looking for a new one. As far as options go, you can load these up pretty crazy. In my humble opinion, the SEL model (goes SE, SEL, then Limited) are probably the best deal. Plenty of equipment and alot to choose from new or used. As far as what I'd wish mine had - the remote start and heated seats. That's the only thing I miss. I really fell for these when I got one as rental car on a business trip. After picking them up in Texas and driving more than 2,000 miles home, I like them even more. Great practical vehicle with attractive styling, excellent parts availability and repair options. Watch the B-pillar visibility. There's a grab handle there and depending on your height, the handle blocks part of the view for over-the-shoulder-check during lane changes. If you can rent one - do - make sure you really like it. Great way to try a car out. This is the two of them (Tater and Mater as in tow-mater for you Cars fans) on route 66 as Mom and I drove them home from Texas. angela ![]()

It is improving in the looks department. Good to see the did something to those hideous rear lights.
I don't dislike it with a vengeance anymore. ![]()

Thanks for the nice sale pitch ![]() Your missing options would be a must since the Porsche move in my DD had to move out. The wife will not give up her side of the garage ![]() I'm done buying new so I'm planning for a 2012 in a couple of year. Getting a rental first is really worth the money and since the owner of the local Ford dealership is a Porsche enthusiast and part owner of the Calabogie track, HomePage, it should be no problem to try one. Thanks again JJ

Very good commercial! I like the black swan reference, too.
Haven't seen this posted for a long time, but these are my favorite Ford commercials:

I just realized you are in Canada. I belong to an Edge Forum, and the people on the site say that the Canadian cars tend to have more options than the US ones anyway. Don't know if that's true or not but that seems to be the consensus. As far as trouble with them, all my company has ever done (these are an optional vehicle for our managers) is do standard maintenance and BATTERIES. Very rarely does anything else seem to be a problem in the first 3 years that my company owns them. But the batteries do get replaced which I thought was a bit odd. In fact the copper one in the picture above needs the battery replaced. I'll probably do that today. As far as performance goes, the 3.5 engine is good for mid seven second zero to sixty which isn't too shabby for a 4,000 pound crossover. It actually seems quicker when you are passing on the freeway or merging on a ramps. Seems to move out smartly there. Handling is decent given the heft and height of the vehicle. I would describe the brakes as "adequate" as in they work OK, but aren't in any danger of impressing the hell out of me. Didn't mean to side track this cool thread, sorry guys! I'm just DIGGIN' my Blazing Copper Edge! Hey? They should let me do a commercial - LOL! angela
