This is an IE thing, it has nothing to do with your operating system. To disable this functionality:
1.) Select "Tools" on your IE menu. A drop down menu will appear.
2.) From the drop down menu that appears under Tools, select "Internet Options...". A pop-up window will appear on your screen.
3.) The pop-up window will have a number of "tabs", select the tab labeled "Advanced".
4.) Scroll down the list of items until you come to the section labeled "Multimedia".
5.) One of the menu items under Multimedia will be called "Enable Automatic Image Resizing". The box in front of the line will have a check mark in it. Click on the box one time so that the click mark is removed.
6.) Click "OK" at the bottom of the window and it will close.
7.) Pat yourself on the back, you've just turned off the auto-sizing feature in IE. To activate it again, follow the same steps but just make sure the box in front of "Enable Automatic Image Resizing" is checked.

Hope that helps!
