I'm taking Chem 180 this semester...first class I've taken in years: The Chemistry of Beer and brewing. Part of the class requires calculating Moles which in turn requires knowledge of atomic weight, a key entry in the periodic table.

I've seen (and want) one of those posters that has a picture of each element on the table. Way cool! And to be able to link the table to something as noble as brewing beer? Priceless!

He could have bought some Crest toothpaste and gotten stannous fluoride and put it in the tin and fluorine boxes.

Very cool! Reminds me that I have 240lbs of Vanadium ingots I'm trying to sell...

We have this guys' book "The Elements", where he shows off a lot of his samples along with tidbits of information about the different elements uses and properties. Whenever it is out on the coffee table and there are guests over, people don't put it down for several minutes. Entertaining read with great photographs ... at least if you are a nerd.

Thsi guy is really a woodworker. Look at the hanging shelf in the back, the corner unit, and the little shelf in the glass case. He made that big thing, well some one did.
