The era of pop-culture creativity is over.....

I don't really see anything that will ever match or exceed what we have already experienced.....I feel fortunate to have grown up in this era.

This includes everything....cars, music, films, fashion, architecture, you-name-it!

Certainly agree with the above. In particular I distinctly remember 1968 - it seemed the country was going to implode. The things that happened that year I hope to never see again. The ten years between 1961 and 1970 were incredible in how much the country changed .

Sounded like a high school class assignment...

I was there...don't remember much of it.

Don't believe the '60's
the golden age of pop
you glorify the past
while the future dries up
heard a singer on the radio late last night
said he's gonna kick the darkness til it bleeds daylight.

It left out a couple of things like the movement toward women going braless which extended on into the '70s. That was a really good fashion trend. Neither I not any of my friends looked like the guys pictured there. We wore mostly sailors' dungarees, tank tops, & sported long beards and hair. Actually the decade between the mid '60 & mid '70s were times of the most change.

The braless thing is wonderful up to a certain age, then not so good.

The guys weren't very prominent in that video, I agree. During the braless era, I was going to college, so didn't see too many of the older ones. That along with really short miniskirts were the greatest fashion craze ever. That & the fact women had become sexually liberated. The good old days!

I don't believe that there has been anything "original" since 1964. Everything is derivative...

I just don't see the beauty and creativity anymore. It was actually over a few decades ago - wouldn't you say?

Of course the era of pop-culture creativity is over.

Seriously, how could any pop-culture experience ever follow this high-water mark?
