Amazing Street Race: 911 versus Mustang

I'm sure we all know who Paul is rooting for.

Ford sponsored Charlie's Angels. I'm suprised they allowed the Porsche to "win"

Cheryl Ladd was pretty hot

Well said...a Maverick with Mustang badging. Even Mustang loyalists blanched when that one came out. But then, the '74 USA Carrera didn't exactly set the road ablaze. "Twas a grim period for car guys back then...

BTW, My daughter gave me a "Charlie's Angels" DVD box set for my birthday. Kind of fun to watch the old shows again.

Saw the sticker. I can't find it on Google.

They did a fair job representing the Porsche. The sound was dubbed in on the first acceleration scene but sounded in sync the rest of the time (save the tire squeal) . Speedo scene was pathetic.

Watch the speedo shots: the car was only doing 65 mph.

Remind me, what year did the 911 have the Mustang instrument cluster in it?

When I was a little kid, I loved mustangs, even the mustang II cobras. I think it was the paint scheme that I must have liked. But hey, I was 6. Many years ago, I had a coworker that had a mustang II with the V-6. I rode in it once, wow, absolutely horrible.

That started with the 996, but it was Mercury , not a Stang..

Course, they were only showing the Stang speeds, not wanting to show the 911 as it would have been faster.. How about those seats with the built in speakers....
