ODDEST ride in your HOOD

some guy a few blocks away has a full out monster truck in his driveway
not talking about a jacked up pickup
but a full boat off-road equipment axles and earth mover tyres
12ft up to the cab floor monster street legal

lots of other swamp stuff around here 1/2 tracks , full tracks and big wheeled buggys
and at the end of my block a guy has a top dollar air boat with a aircraft flat 6 and a neat carbon fiber prop

BMW 2002 model that an old man converted to full electric. Very cool.

1970's F-250 4x4, rattle can charcoal grey, sticker on back bumper reads
"Don't follow me, you won't make it."
Either that one, or the unrestored, 1946 Plymouth coupe with a trunk the size of Nevada.

My Spartan, but it's not a ride. It's a trailer.

Have a neighbor, Wes, who drives a 1977 Lincoln Town Car he bought new.

He has almost 850,000 miles on it  Engine rebuild #3 and restoration #2 it looks like it has about 20k miles. I can't even fathom how much $$ he's sunk into that beast. Super cool dude.

you mean the "Brodozer"? Guys with the flat bill hat, flames, tattoos, crosses, chrome, devlls and angels, pictures of various weaponry in the windows and Nu metal?-

They are the scourge of the Southwest. Ultimate douchebags.

Exactly. Freaking high school kids driving these 30k+ trucks with 10k+ worth of rims and suspension, a loud ass stereo, and stacks on the diesels are becoming more common....

Most of my neighbors park in their garages just like I do. There is one small pickup one block from my house that just sits on the ground because it is totally slammed.

kazlx 03-01-2012 01:32 PM

That Silva is really cool.

LeeH 03-01-2012 01:46 PM

Lolly the Jeep lives in my neighborhood.

Oddest that's actually in my 'hood is one of these.

If you expand my 'hood to be the Houston metropolis, well, we've got lots and LOTS of "art" cars here (they even have their own parade).

I have seen this car in person on the road when I was downtown once.

There's a couple of odd ones in my neighborhood. Don't have pictures of either because I was too busy laughing.

The first one is a Pontiac Fiero. It's the GT model with the V6. This guy has a OBVIOUSLY non-functional hoodscoop on the FRONT - not anywhere near the engine, fake brake intakes, fake plastic chrome buick-style portholes, etc., all over this car. Literally talking about probably 200 pounds of straight-out-of-the-JC Whitney-tacky aisle.

The other one makes me bust up laughing just thinking about it. It's a new mustang with huge disc brakes/brembo calipers. But if you can see any better than Helen Keller, it is immediately apparent that this "big brake package" is actually fake. It's some sort of cover that goes between the wheel and the brakes to cover up the little cute factory brakes that came on this low end mustang (the high end ones have decent brakes).

When a girl points at your car and laughs...it's time to rethink your accessory package. Well, maybe your whole package. ;)
