Chattanooga is quiet now, for a while anyway. Had some extremely heavy rains and quarter sized hail; fortunately, no damage in my neighborhood. Some reports of several tornados on the ground in the greater metropolitan area. Still waiting on the main line of storms ahead of the front.

I hate this schit.

The tornado alarms went off last night in Marietta and my son and his family in Dahlonega got a automated phone call at 11:00 last night to get into the basement. They had one touch down not too far from their house. Everyone is safe. Good luck to all.

Everyone is safe here - some injuries but no fatalities in the immediate area. After several more warnings, and another round of thunderstorms, I finally got to sleep after midnight - I think I slept with one ear open - not very restful. Cooler this morning, and sunshine. Very little damage in my neighborhood, mostly small branches and leaves from the trees.

Dodged another bullet.
