Sure they can fly, but some of them need to work on landings. Those are some awfully expensive birds to be landing like you have been flying for 3 weeks. Heel and Toe go check out the Joe Nall fly-in outside of Woodruff SC sometime, you will really enjoy it as I used to fly with many of those guys.

Enjoyed this
Liked the plane at 5:08. C130 was cool with the internal camera. Parachutist should have bent his knees a little more at 5:21. |
Landings were a bit rough!! Usually by the time people get to planes that cost those $$$ they can nail every landing.
Some of those landings would have made me pucker with my little 4 star 40 that costs $100! |
Oh man!
Thanks for the video link. Some great aircraft. I was looking to seeing the Concord fly, but it only had the hangar shots in the video. The warbirds were great, as were the large scale cubs. This is also probably the first time I've seen an r/c Me 323! |

Very cool! Thanks!

Awesome entertainment!
I can only imagine what some of those models cost to build and operate.... |
that was awesome. thanks for sharing.

When the A-10 flew by, I kept waiting to hear the BRRRRRRRRRRRR from the cannon. It's hard to tell the difference between the real A/C and the R/C.
|
Lots better then the News !
|
I gotta say - been flying RC most of my life and I have spent a lot of time around IMAA type planes though I have never had the room or the money to do the giants these guys do. Something must have been really wrong with the coffee that day or they were having a 'who is the worst on the runway' contest.
Normally RC pilots in those types of fly ins are quite good. |
Awww its too EZ to knock....I think we just need to appreciate their passions....I did not notce any choppers...........LOL
|
The real versions of a few of those planes are reportedly unstable and require constant adjustments from computers to keep em in the air.
So how do they get the models to trim out? The F-117 is a good example .... |
BTW here's some mad skills, and a pretty good thrust to weight ratio:

Listed to the crazy throttle work by this guy, a bbl roll and snap turn while stalling, really?

And from the WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST MAKE THE REAL THING file ........

30 foot wingspan on a B-29, looks great until something goes wrong
