Jack Olsen is still around occasionally. When he wants us to vote for his garage. :) He's a good guy. More active on the tech/racing forums I believe.

Thanks, Fred. :) I seemed to have missed the first part of this thread.

I'm just here to have fun. :) It's nice to BS and have a good time. The heavier stuff can be talked about later, in smaller and more personal arenas.

You guys are all great! Whenever I take this place for granted, I look at a few other forums and the PARF area and I come running back.

There is an old saying:

"Being honest and standing up for what you believe in may not get you a lot of friends, but it will get you the right ones..." SmileWavy

Flieger, so sweet of you to mention me. I should hope that I give off the "good peeps" vibe but you never can tell in an internet forum. Big hugs to you!

Why thank you as well, Sid! I don't post a ton but I lurk... I try to read up and learn about Porsches, eavesdrop on the conversations here and try to take away something from it. I don't post too often because I fear I will look like a "car poser" since I don't have a Porsche...YET! And you know, I don't want to infest the forum with my womanly opinions. This place should be left alone for you guys to vent and speak at will without worrying about offending the female side. I chime in every once in awhile when you guys are waaaaaaay off track and I have some expertise in the topic. Like the female psyche. :D

BUT, I have to admit I have met some wonderful people here and hope to continue to learn and meet some more friends. Thanks guys! You guys are the best! ;)

Jack Olsen is a moderator over at the Garage Journal and may have that duty elsewhere to boot. I do know this, he participates in a lot of forums. He is on 2 welding forums that I know of only because I am also. And he is on several track forums. And some fabrication forums. He is working on yet another iteration of his rear wing for BBII. Foam core; should be interesting.

Plus he is making some things for the house.

Busy man, that Jack.

Great thread and great list so far. I obviously would give a +1 to Vinnie and would also like to mention Joe A, Hugh R, and Leland.

You are too kind Sir.

Well Sid owns a 944 and it hasn't stopped him from attaining "poser status"

I must say that for someone I have never met in person, you have extended me a great favor that will never go unappreciated. Mary and I still owe you a quality cheesesteak next time that you are in the area. :)

edgemar 03-09-2012 06:35 PM

Don't forget about all the lurkers out there too! :)

azasadny 03-10-2012 06:32 AM

Too many good people out there to name them all, but many of you have helped me out and I really appreciate you and this forum!
