Pastranamania coming to....

Pastrana to drive for RAB? UPDATE: When Travis Pastrana, who was in attendance at Texas Motor Speedway, makes his NASCAR debut next weekend at Richmond International Raceway, it may be in a car associated with #09-RAB Racing. Pastrana's Pastrana 199 Racing has an alliance with Michael Waltrip Racing, but the team hasn't run it's #99 Nationwide car since last season and does not have a guaranteed starting spot. A deal with RAB, who is a Toyota team and short on sponsorship for regular driver Kenny Wallace, would ensure Pastrana a starting spot for his first Nationwide race. Ryan Truex ran for RAB at Texas, and Wallace is expected to return to the seat of the #09 for the Talladega race, but a driver for Richmond has not yet been announced. If the rumored deal is completed, expect an announcement in the coming days.(NASCAR Insiders)(4-16-2012)
UPDATE: Michael Waltrip Racing and RAB Racing announced they have formed an alliance to field entries in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2012. As part of the agreement, RAB Racing will acquire additional cars and receive technical and marketing support from MWR. Also, RAB Racing will change its current #09 number to the #99 starting at Richmond on April 27. RAB Racing will field the #99 Boost Mobile/KMC Wheels Toyota Camry for 11-time, X-Games gold medalist and action sports star Travis Pastrana in seven 2012 NASCAR Nationwide races. RAB Racing will also field Nationwide Series entries for MWR in additional races. Michael Waltrip said the alliance isn't limited to fielding cars for Pastrana. "Whenever we have an opportunity to go Nationwide racing with any of our drivers, it will be in the #99 at RAB Racing," Waltrip said. "We'll add to the schedule here pretty soon with another announcement."(MWR)(4-17-2012)

Looking forward to see how Pastrana does..... He was THE fastest kid I ever saw racing an MX bike. Too bad back then he wasted his youth/body doing those stupid X-games. If he can control his wild urges, he is capable of winning at nearly any type of motorsport he chooses to try next. That is a fact.
