this year's turkey season is gonna be crazy!!
last night, i started getting the itch..fired a few arrows at my target early in the day..no problems.
found my decoys, check! got my paperwork in order check! where are my turkey calls? found them! dusted them off, rubbed them lovingly with some rough scrubber thing. i sat down, and tested them. they sang!! i then heard a hen respond to me. what? i pulled out my slate call and really laid into it. the hen responded again..louder, closer. i peeked past my hedges in my backyard..and there they are. instant chinese fire-drill! (i can say that, i'm chinese ) quick iphone pic,,and now where is my camera? if this is any indication, this is going to be a good year..i live in a crowded city, and i have birds. any turkey hunters, i can send you some good luck for a small fee..hahah. two more weeks!

You never know about turkeys. One day there will be 30 outside your window, and the next day none. I put seed in a feeder in the back yard for the birds. If course they knock it everywhere on the ground below. In the past, the turkeys would make it part of their circuit to take advantage of the easy feed. Sofar this year I can hear them gobbling somewhere, but haven't seen one on my property yet.
