Welcome.
There is a ton of info about buying in the tech section.
You can use the search function and learn about Pre Purchase Inspections and tons of info about the +/- of different years.
This is a good read to consider before purchasing.
Amazon.com: The Used 911 Story (9780963172679): Peter Zimmermann: Books
Good luck in your quest!

Welcome to the addictions.

This board, and the 911. I have had my 911 for over 16 years. I still have some projects to do to it. It will never be done. It is way too much fun. After all the miles I still get a silly grin when I drive it.

Welcome to the forum. It is great to do the research before you buy and also smart to pay cash(old school). I think of how many P cars I looked at before I pulled the trigger: a 2000 yellow Boxster base, a 1999 Porsche 911 and a 2001 black Boxster base. I decided on the latter - heated seats air cond. that works etc. Take your time and do the research. There are lots out there but when u decide, get a PPI done.

Do not even consider any contact with that company. RUN from them.

Do a simple search on MM. You will be amazed by the stories.

Benny, there's also a shop in the SF bay area that has developed a less than stellar reputation for both their work and Porsche sales. I can't remember the name, but maybe some of the other folks here remember. My one experience on the phone with them about a possible early 911 sale left me feeling like "Run, Forrest, run!"
