Number of posts on Pelican

Wow, I used to think 2,000 was a lot of posts but now I'm there. Nothing close to the likes of Zeke who, after dropping out at 20,000 posts to take a breather, has lapped me 3 times since jumping back in the pool!:D

What a great place to hang out.

Thanks everyone

A certain Mustang owner has over 30K posts.

I have not seen him much recently.

The likes of Zeke has little better to do. ;) :D

A few years ago when I hit 10,000 posts Wayne had a feature within the now disabled Members section where you could see the top 10 posters. Wayne hisownself was always on top followed by nostatic, Jack Olsen, dd74 and more that I can't remember except for dear old Paul (pwd72s).
IIRC, dd74 was the fast pacer rising out of nowhere to be a top 10.

Anyone remember some of those that were in that group and now are gone or have throttled back? Oh yeah, a guy named Mike was always there. Joe somethingorother now. ;)

Also, my first 15,000 posts were largely on the 911 bbs and several 100 on the 914 bbs. I never came here until I ran out of things to say about 911s. Now I look at old posts on the 911 side and think I knew that?

There's a woman that posts in the Trip Advisor Sicily Forum that has 41,133 posts. She certainly does know Sicily . . .

Ian

Edit: And she only joined the forum in 2007.

I have no life, that's why I post here...

Reg 03-22-2012 05:09 PM

I have not seen the Mustang Man in a while....Paul?

TimT 03-22-2012 05:47 PM

I thought I had no life when I hit 2000 posts... Now I have 5000 something.... I am going back in time

There is another poster from the soggy upper left that has way more posts than mustang man...

Flieger 03-22-2012 05:54 PM

Yeah, when you combine all two or three of his aliases, he must have 50,000

red-beard 03-22-2012 06:05 PM

Seriously, he's a post whore!

I used to do 5k-6k posts a years but I think I've done closer to 2k the past two years together. I think the more you post, the faster you get burned out.

GH85Carrera 03-22-2012 07:04 PM

Post bump

I pick any old page in that thread for enjoyment. It's eclectic to say the least.

I would think that there are warning signs of an individual overposting such as your wife says"who are u talking to on the computer now", carpel tunnel syndrome, sore eyes etc.
No doubt there are "Betty Ford" clinincs that treat people like overposters but most of us are in denial. I must confess I do enjoy your company. Nobody is getting drunk and punching anybody out. A few exchanges. But that is all part of the fun.:)
