AM or PM?

Are you a morning person or a night owl? If you are old(er)has that changed as you have become more venerable?

slodave 03-27-2012 06:58 PM

Always a night person. In fact so much so, almost everyone eventually makes a "vampire" comment.

red-beard 03-27-2012 06:59 PM

Morning. This has always annoyed the wives.

Embraer 03-27-2012 07:00 PM

half of my days i start work at 0630. Half of my days, i start work at either 1500 or 1300. i dont know if im a night or morning person. ...i'm just always tired.

I get my best work done in the morning, and then again in the evening. In the middle of the day, I'm not good for anything very useful (define useful).

She's 73 and I think I'm afraid to ask.

Probably different than it was forty years ago.

Night owl,
Always was and always will be.

BlueSkyJaunte 03-27-2012 11:15 PM

Night owl...becoming a bit less so as the years march by. I used to go until 3-4am and haul my butt out of bed by 7 without too many problems.

Nowadays my precious few hours of sleep are repeatedly interrupted by kids that wake up for random reasons and a wife that snores....loudly. So I'm pretty much done by 1-2am.

~2pm is the absolute worst for me...I can barely keep my eyes open at that time of day and have been known to fall asleep while actually speaking.

LeeH 03-27-2012 11:27 PM

Still a night owl. When I was in college I used to start studying at 10pm. My brain is still wired that way, except now I have an 11 year old who has to be up for school. Uninterupted, I'd probably go to bed between 2-3 a.m.

My current pattern is to get 6-7 hours of sleep for 3-4 nights in a row, then go to bed at 10pm to catch up. I envy those who can sleep 6 hours every night and still function well. My brain doesn't work well when I'm sleep deprived.

Morning. That worked well for me when I was working for the dairy.

I learned very early in my marriage NOT to whistle when I got up. These days I sing or hum quietly to myself. OK, sometimes not so quietly.

Morning person. Sleeping until 6:00 am is "sleeping in" to me. I'm worthless after about 9:00 at night though. I've been this way all my life.

wdfifteen 03-28-2012 03:52 AM

Used to be a morning person. Now that I'm more "venerable" I don't wake early or quickly.

jyl 03-28-2012 03:57 AM

Morning person, didn't use to be but career has forced it.

on2wheels52 03-28-2012 04:14 AM

I hate to waste daylight.

AM. I'm usually at m y desk by 0500.

72doug2,2S 03-28-2012 05:04 AM

I'm not sure, but after 8 p.m. I'm worthless.
