Chump Car enduro at Daytona - Anyone participating?

A team of us are heading down to Daytona for the Chump Car 14hr enduro race on May 27th. We're not sure of the car we are bringing yet, but we've paid up, so we better start working on it.

I know there are a few other Chump Car teams in the Pelican community - any of you guys racing there that weekend?

We are still trying to decdide on the car - we took 5th place in Laguna Seca with this ZX2 (after we ran out of gas with 20 min to go in the race

I wish we could come down and run that track. Our first race is april 28 and 29th at Road America up here in Wisconsin. Two 7hr consecutive day cumulative event. Last year they had t postpone because of ice on the track.

I took our new car out last night for a spin. Just Finished it up

It is a cobalt SS and it is stupid fast. We will get docked a few laps on the aiv but we will have a great time.

I have a DE event the weekend after and I am worried I may think I am lacking some horsepower after running with a supercharged motor in a car that is 400lbs lighter than the porsche.

What are the car choices? Do you rent the cars when you run? We were thinking of building another to rent out.

We sold our old mustang for just about as much as we had in it. So we are not sure it is worth doing.

First one for us this year will be NJMP. Due to several of my team's military obligations, & deployments we will probably only be able to make 2 races this year.

Hey Bob - Scott, myself and a few others from Solo 1 are making the trek. It should be a good time, but now we are racing to get the car prep finished.

I'm dissappointed to hear that Juan - I saw the beetle on the chump forums and was hoping you'd be there!

I know Andrew. It would be nice to finally meet you.

My niece is getting married in MS so I can't race. Go meet Scott and the rest of the guys though. (Scott is one of the mechanics at 901 Shop)
