If you are serious about Solar, you need to really look at it. To replace a 1500 watt generator will take 5 solar panels, and will give you about 4 hours of full power a day, . You will have about 6 kWh of Energy to play with, but you will also have 350 lbs of batteries, 250 lbs of solar panels and about 50 lbs of other equipment.
