Tip: TURN OFF AUTOPLAY, yeah it's important

Priest's PC Autoplays Gay Porn Slideshow to Congregation

Father Martin McVeigh was giving a talk to 26 parents and one 8-year-old kid when computer disaster struck. He connected his USB drive into a PC to start his Powerpoint presentation and, instead of the word of God, a hardcore gay porn slideshow started—thanks to Windows' autoplay.

Some parents—who were there to hear McVeigh talk about First Communion—were angry. Others were in shock. Just like McVeigh. He was so embarrassed that, according to witnesses, unplugged the USB drive and walked out of the room without uttering a single word.

Why's it always the catholics?

Scuba Steve 04-03-2012 02:23 AM

WOW, now that's some self-ownage!

People should shut off Autoplay because it has about a 0% chance off actually playing what you want it to. Maybe it did back in the day where people would put a CD in, but compared to how often people use a USB drive that's pretty much none of the time.

You know what else can prevent that? Not being so DUMB as to have porn on a computer/thumbdrive that you use professionally.

Could be a Catholic Light (Episcopal, Lutheran, Peace Luterhan, etc) or Eastern Orthodox! But wait, there's more!

Lutherans don't have priests, they have pastors.

Sammy,

This was a little bit interesting to me so I did some very quick and only surface scratching research. (Did I say:

I have ALWAYS had Lutheran (and Peace Lutheran) Ministers/Reverends/Priests/Pastors introduced to me as Father (male and female). I had always understood they were considered as a priest.

Research shows:

We are BOTH correct.

In America Lutheran Reverands are "generally" referred to as Pastor. In Europe (outside of Scandinavia) they are "generally" referred to as Priest. And so it goes in other areas of the world.

Interesting that I had always been introduced to a Father (Priest) but I guess that goes back to my Anglican roots?

Don't you hate it when we cannot even light heartedly jab at each other because we are both right. And both wrong. Ahhh, well.

I say the sky is grey today, what say you in California????

are Lutheran priests/pastors allowed to marry and have sex?
whattafukin joke- not allowing sex, which is normal, and then questioning the resulting deviant behavior.

Groesbeck Hurricane 04-03-2012 07:53 AM

Yes, Lutheran's allow and I believe (I COULD be wrong just this once) encourage marriage and populating the world with liturgical progeny (kids of priests).

They also, depending upon the Bishop and Peace Lutheran versus Lutheran (various magnitudes of orthodoxy) have male and female clergy and allow both hetero and homo sexual relationships amongst the members (and clergy). They do NOT encourage pluralism or jumping in and out of bed with multiple partners (frowned upon, ESPECIALLY amongst the clergy). Singular, committed partnerships.

Please correct me if I am wrong, I do not wish to disseminate incorrect information. This is just how I have understood it!

Groesbeck Hurricane 04-03-2012 07:56 AM

I forgot, Lutheran and Episcopal Priests will sometimes take on parishes from each other's denominations. Both can also be taken in as Roman Catholic Priests and accepted even IF they have wives and children. Female, divorced, and homosexual priests need not apply to the Roman Catholic Church.

NOW, I wonder what Eastern and Greek Orthodox accepts?

A few years ago, we were given a USB drive by a vendor at work with a code patch for something.

Also on the USB drive, we found the complete source code for an unrelated system at work. Within hours, the vendor was escorted from the building, their contract was immediately cancelled. Within days they were sued for damages, and our security procedures were changed.
