Flyers vs. penguins

OK I am sick of talking about Zimmerman and Trayvon, on to something fun.

Anyone see last Flyers penguins game? This Sat is the rematch and it is likely to be frickin awesome and also the fact they will likely meet each other in the first round of the playoffs.

The scrum at the end was classic...Sat at 4pm EST my butt will be firmly planted on the couch to watch the mayhem!

GO FLYERS!

Go Pens:P

This could turn into one of the nastiest matchups ever. Neither team is in the habit of backing off. I predict at least 30 minutes total penalty time on the day.

Penguins aren't really flyers, that was an April fools joke ;)

Was a good game, but the Pens got careless. And the CHEAP shot on Crosby should have been a 1 game suspension, regardless of who it happened to. Then Lavolette, (I know I spelled it wrong), has the balls to cry foul when the Pens put out their 4th line.
Let's see what happens Sat. Thanks for the reminder.

Puh-LEASE>>>>> Crosby and Malkin are INCREDIBLE cheap shot artists. Holy crap you should watch the replays of the huge slashes Crosby and head shots that Malkin gets and got away with. It's frickin unbelievable so NEVER get up in my grill about poor little Crosby. He's an awesome player, awesome but spoiled and dirty.

If that is a 1 game suspension they'd have to start canceling hockey games because they wouldn't have enough guys to suit up. Was it out of line and a penalty no doubt, but just because Cindy got a little tap doesn't mean the world has stopped spinning.

If the Flyers pulled that 4th line stunt and went head hunting, you and the rest of the hockey world would be calling the flyers out for being a dirty cheap artist team.

The ensuing situation may have caused the funniest thing I have seen in sports when Hartnell did the Hulk Hogan to the Pens fan:

Incredible?? Come on, you are over exaggerating I guess to prove you point. Do you think for one minute, with every camera on him, Crosby is slashing everyone around him with nothing called? I guess till he's on your team, you have to say something. As far as the Flyers game goes, it meant nothing other then Briere doens't know how to skate with his head up and skated off to the training table for who knows how long. The Pens will still have home ice and the Flyers followed up with choking to the Rangers who had nothing to gain. Talent will prevail in a 7 game series.

Roosterrusek 04-05-2012 04:54 AM

Ewwwwwwww, look hockey is the toughest sport out there, but it is a fact that Crosby and Malkin play pretty damn dirty and get away with it. Crosby broke his stick over a guys thigh that game right in front of the official and NOTHING, it was pathetic.

Would I want him on my team, for his talent only and not his whining. I'll never forget Peter Forsberg on the ice telling him to stop his diving.

A broken carbon fiber stick means nothing. They need to get rid of the automatic penalty rule for a broken stick.

But it does when you slash it over a guys thighs!

Anyway, this Saturday's game should be interesting to say the least.

Actually I went back and watched the game again and both announcers said that Sindy should have been called for chopping opposing player's sticks in half on two occasions.

Agreed but the rule was in place for everyone except Sindy that game.

Well if the announcers say it, it's got to be right. Was it Mike Milbury?

The Homers are the ones that are always right.;)

Pens back at their clean play:

Probably not a good idea to go into the playoffs with everyone feeling like this:

There is actually more "whining" about whining. It all about positioning and jockeying for the playoffs. Lets make a big deal to get the higher powers to possible suspend a player. As far as Orpiks hit, its hockey and those things happen. Ovechkin makes a living at doing these things until recently. It's easy to see the Rangers fear the Pens. If they didn't you wouldn't hear a pep.;)
