Griot's Towels?
 

Does anybody have experience with Griot's Microfiber Towels to remove wax? Are they worth the $17 plus shipping for a 3-pack? I currently use soft towels from AZ, but am wondering if the Griot's are worth the premium.

I use them and like them a lot. The fact that they are a different color than the polish removal cloths helps me to keep track. Also, if you are unhappy with them, he will refund your money.

Check Napa and other car parts places, could just be packaging, is on other stuff.,

ok, but Byron's comment is quite valid -- Griot's is ultra-high on their prices, and I have never ever found something there that could not be found elsewhere for a LOT less

I am not discounting Byron's observation and opinion, nor yours. I guess I could be considered a Griot's Groupie!

I'm not saying that he doesn't or that the quality isn't there, I too have been buying using his stuff for a VERY long time, but as Webb said, there are some products that can be found locally for a lot less money, but other stuff, not so much. Napa is carrying some Griot's products now (saw some there last week)

He does have an xlnt return policy.

I'd just use microfiber towels from a discount store...

I use Griot's products as well and like them. However, I have not tried his towels. I use the Microfiber towels from costco. I do like his different color idea.

I have some & I like them.

Thanks for all the input guys! If Griot's still has the free shipping deal, I might pick some up along with some other misc stuff. I'm having several nice opportunities to get the P-Cars detailed earlier than normal with the nice weather.

Like Pelican, Griot's makes it easy to buy.

There are lots of high end microfiber towels. I have bought these and they are great. But they are no better than what I get for half the price at FLAPS.

IMO, it is make sure you wash them only with other microfiber towels. Otherwise they pickup lint from the rest of the load and become worthless

I heard long ago that Griot's buy other brands, repack's them, and sell's them for bigger $$$$. Rumer, maybe, maybe not.

Microfiber handtowels from HF. Use and dispose. Cheap price.

I started using towels from Pakshak some time ago. Excellent quality for a decent price. I am not sure if they are repackaged, but I have not seen the same towels elsewhere. I keep a decent stock of their 25 x 36" waffle weave drying towel, by far the best I have found. Also use the 16x24" for wax and polish work, different colors for different use. For door jambs and stuff -- whatever is cheap at target.

I have some micro-fiber towels for sale at a gazillion dollars each, you get what you pay for ;)

There are differences between microfiber towels. You get what you pay for. I always wash mine before use and air dry them, no fabric softener/dryer. I've got some Harbor Freight MF towels, they work great for glass,my main towels come from Autogeek and I've also got some pretty good towels from Amazon. Never used the Griots towels but I have used other Griots products
and liked them.
