I did a slide show for the Secret Service back in the days before PowerPoint. One of the facts that surprised me was how many people would tear the corner off of 4 different 20s, and paste them onto a one. 99% of the clerks just look at the number in the corner and took it as a 20. The jail time is the same for that crime as printing a new note. They have no sense of humor at the secret service.

Yes, those are some rather unfunny dudes. They tend to like getting their way too.

You should have called the cops and if you were ever found in possession (ie. showing them to a "friend" and he didn't like you, calling the cops on you) of funny money the treasury boys could nail your butt. They don't have a sense of humour.

The one thing I noticed when I was living in Aussie is those plastic notes can be a bit of a b1tch when you try to pull a bill out of your wallet in anything more than a slight breeze. They are so damned slippery they all have a tendency to fly out while you're just trying to select one specific bank note. Ask me how I know.

A few months ago I had a young girl try and pass a $100 bill. I caught it, but it was printed on a $5 bill.
