Cigars and Humidors! Let's see them!

I'm new to the Porsche community, and my other love apart from cars (and my lovely wife) is cigars! I'm quite fortunate that my wife also has a love of cars and cigars...so this makes it very easy on me! We travel to Cuba yearly for a break..and to smoke and buy as many cigars as we can. We also travel to several different US locations for cigar shows and HERFS.

Is anybody else hopelessly in love with cigars??

Here's my humidor:

Here's wife enjoying a stogie:

Rare score from Cuba (Cohiba Genios 5 Maduro):

Lunch?

I don't have nearly the setup you for, but I've become very accustomed to a daily stogies.

tonights....an Avo LE12 La Trompeto with a glass of Stone Russian Imperial Stout....my usual smoke is a LFD double ligero or JdN dark corojo

^^Excellent! Very nice! I see the "601" advertising in the background. I have a box of 601 Blue in the humi. Very nice maduro IMO...

The last LFD I had was an Air Bender Chisel. Was a pretty potent stick!

Have you tried the black label accessory line? It's the top end of lotus and while the flat flame torch may seem gimmicky, once you use one, you'll never want to go back. It provides a beautiful, easy and even light. I only keep a small stash of smokes on hand in a neat little 50-75 stick humidor I got from a friend that's made of cork.....most of my smokes are enjoyed at the local cigar bar with the usual crew.

No...can you provide a link or more details on the black label stuff? I generally prefer larger gauge cigars, so I use a triple torch lighter. I also have an Alec Bradley "The Burner" table lighter (picture below).

And there is almost nothing better than hanging at the cigar bar with buddies! Wish we had cigar bars here, but they are not allowed. We try and get to MI once a week to enjoy their cigar lounges.

My local cigar bar uses the burner for shop lighters......
Black Label "El Presidente" Black Matte & Carbon Fiber Flat Flame Lighter : Elighters.com
That's a link for the flat flame black label.
I like larger gauge as well and it works beautifully while still fitting comfortably in a pocket.

The LFD rep is in town tomorrow. That always makes for a fun night, he's a pretty cool guy.

I have smoked everything in the current LFD and JdN line up. The airbender in chisel is a great smoke. There's also a maduro airbender chisel....I prefer the regular though.....
the Colorado oscuro is a very nice lighter smoke from LFD as well.

Supposedly, there are some new sticks in the works for them, i'll probably get the scoop on those tomorrow.

No humidor here, that would take the fun out of going to the shop/club and mingling with the locals. It's a social thing, or at least a thing best shared with others in my opinion. I try something different every time, but don't go very often because I don't think it's very good for me.

My dual flame Lotus lighter (butane torch and open yellow flame) is a bit touchy, and runs out of gas quickly, but overall I like it and the flexibility.

I don't smoke as often as I did when my wife and I owned a pub. Then it was more social to smoke with the other patrons. Now I just smoke one once in a while when I have a notion.

I have a nice cherry-wood cigar box for my desk, but it does not seal tight enough to regulate the humidity properly, so I never use it. I keep my cigars (perhaps about 30 or 40) sealed in GI ammo cans. They are air-tight, and the humidity does not fluctuate.

I brought these home last may.
Cohiba Siglo VI. Not red-dots.
I'm down to half-a-box now.

I'm sure it's not a big deal for you Canadians, but it's still a big deal for me.

Very nice, I too enjoy a good stogie, but don't have the set up that you have....
I join a few buddies at the Club once a week for a smoke, and with my track buddies at events...

She looks a little cold.

IMO these cigars need a good pairing with a single malt scotch to go with them. Just pour in the glass and add a drop or two of water.
