Craigslist score-Honda generator
I've been looking for a Honda or Yamaha 3000 watt generator for a while now. All the internet searches I did said that these two brands were the gold standard for quality, noise and reliability. But wow are they $$$ new. So I've been looking for a clean used unit. Last night a Honda came up for sale. The seller stated it was 1 year old and only 3 tanks of gas had been run through it. Picture looked good so I called the seller this morning. He already had 3 people that had called and one was ready to come from South Carolina. I told him I'd be there in an hour with cash in hand if it was as clean as he stated. One hour later we met, and yes it looked brand new. He fired it up and it started great and ran great. So I walked away with a one year old Honda EU3000IS with electric start for $1450.00. But I'm happy

Great price. I've had one for 3 years now. These things really are quiet and sip gas. I paid $1885 new delivered. They are much more now. Eco-throttle is awesome. I have run over 20 hours on a tank using eco-throttle. About 8-9 off eco-throttle. Congrats.
