I'm seeing conflicting reports, even that article is 13 months old.
In fact almost all the articles I found in a quick search are at least a year old with little or no mention since then.
Makes ya go hmmmmmm.

The FoxNews article saying the planes had been found (weak confirmation - boreoscope viewing a buried crate with unknown contents) linked a few posts up is dated May 2012.

The report that the excavation team has given up and determined that the planes couldn't possibly have been buried there, was dated early 2013.

No planes.

Too good to be true, like Geraldo and Al Capone's safe "full of riches." Of course the safe was empty. Of course there are no buried Spitfires.
