4th time cars have been ransacked in the past year.

I live in central phoenix, and have dogs. I sleep like a rock though. Doors always locked. They seem to only steal change and school supplies, ie my back pack, and a old tank bag. I don't keep anything personal in the cars and it's just ridiculous. This last time they targeted my jeep 15 yards from my window.
I called the police and of course nothing they can do. It feels like i'm being terrorized inside my own house.
I'm going to start keeping my guns out of the safe, and going to try some bait. "acouple broken apple products."

Isn't Phoenix the meth usage capitol?
Have a sign in the window: "nothing to steal, doors unlocked, car alarmed, owner armed"...

Leave a crap stereo or dangling wires in place, and put the system under the dash.

You can't shoot a car thief in AZ and they'll probably just run if you catch them in the act.

Fenced yard, dogs and cars inside the fence, done!

If you can't do that at your current house - move.

Nope. It's much more prevalent in your neck of the woods.

Just need to do the three S's!
Shoot, shovel, and shutup!
What no one knows, won't hurt them, and the break-ins stop.

Shoot and shovel only works when you're not living in an urban area and preferably have some acreage. I'm worried about my neighbors hearing my airsoft pistol when I shoot pigeons making a mess in my backyard.

Install one of these on the fascia of your home nearest to where you park the car... aim both spots right at the car and the area where the perps most likely approach it.

Two Light Brushed Nickel Finish Spotlight Motion Sensor | LampsPlus.com

When they walk up to it and a coupla hundred watts of bright light hits them, they'll most likely leave.

They'll probably assume they're being filmed, too.

Had that problem a while ago and cured it overnight. Motion sensor outdoor lighting works wonders and costs very little...
