Hk usp .45 updatum

just received this damn thing and HORROR of HORROR's........................i dont think this damn thing has EVAR BEEN SHOT aside from a proof shot at factory. there is not one blemish on entire slide exterior, no wear marks on barrel, no wear marks on buffer..................NO NOTHING! NOTHING showing wear on interior anywhere!

the frame exterior has a couple pissant scratches from bouncing around. NOTHING to be upset about in the slightest. frame #'s match slide numbers.

already had purchased hk threaded match barrel and barrel thread protector, installed that, functions perfect. the only damn thing i had to do was a 30second compressed air blow on everything to clean off dust. its sitting right next me keeping its "kuzzin" mr hk uspc robar 9mm happy. already did my safety check , mag eject check etc. everything functions perfect.

this is a SCREAMING DEAL and heres the SORDID STORY, straight form the horn dawg of all HORN DAWGS-ODDJOB UNO.........................

once upon a time in this goofy state of maine way up north where they have lots of MAY-PO (maple) SYRUP, these silly MAINE DEPT OF PUBLIC SAFETY cops were drinking a beer after a shift one night. they noticed that there NIGHT SIGHTS were kind of DULL! as they had owned them for a few years. and since im from az and we rarely ever hear of any crime sprees in the fine state of maine, about the only thing we hear is that its cold as hell, i completely understand why these HK USP.45's are rarely used. too damn cold for bad guys 3/4's of the year. and if ya think about the other 1/4 of the year when the weathers nice, what bad guy in his RIGHT MIND would want to be doing bad things when all the MAINE COPS GOT HK USP .45's????

so in the INFINITE WIZ-DUMB of the MAINE DEPT of PUBLIC SAFETY they looked into replacing their night sights. which cost about $100USD to $120USD.

then they weighed out time to install new sights(maybe 10minutes per spoon) and the number(#) of rounds used and time on range for all the cops to re-qualify and get a warm fuzzy that the sights were set on each and every spoon.

they felt this was TOO EXPENSIVE and TIME CONSUMING so they DECIDED TO BUY ALL NEW HKS at roughly $1000 a pop.

this is FISCAL SCIENCE at its BEST dont cha think???????

so they ended up selling all of them to cdnn and thats how ODDJOB UNO HORN DAWG OF HORN DAWGS FINAGLED ANOTHER SCREAMING AZZ DEAL ON AN HK:

an O-FFICIAL MAINE DPS "BARNEY FIFE" VERSION OF THE HK USP .45 w/DIM NIGHT SIGHTS SPOON"!

one of my MO BETTERER HORN DAWG DEALS i have made. the date code on this was KI which means mfg'd 1998. which if ya didnt know, is real nice because in 1995 HK did a upgrade to the trigger system and thats a real good thang. that means all of my upcoming HK MATCH TRIGGER SYSTEM parts will retrofit just perfect. along with MATCH ADJUSTABLE NIGHT SIGHTS front and rear and EXTENDED MAG RELEASE.

pics will be up monyana.

stay tuned as we scrounge the planet for all of the UBER GOODIES for this build.

about to call hk customer service and get my RGA# and send back for a complete "looky see" and the incredible beyond belief attention to detail that HK georgia bestows upon these. my last one i sent in they proof shot with (3) different flavors of ammo and shipped me back the targets. my experience now has been incredible with hk customer service. guys name is travis there. he really KNOWS HIS POO!

just cleaned the oem barrel, dropped the bore light down the throat and its flat amazing the low round count on this. bore is NRA 100% perfect.

WOW just caught this on the news from coconino county shurfs office and the FBI. apparently there may be one of the FBI's "TEN MOST WANTED" suspects lurking around the payson,az. area.

his name is ROBERT FISCHER! maybe ya remember he shot his wife in the back of the head, slit both his kids throats, and then blew the damn house up with the gas water heater, here in snoobsdale ,az.

yeah a real nice "stable" character.................NOT!

anyway this guy has outdoor skills and ditched the cops in the forest above payson,az.

something to THINK ABOUT REAL DAMN HARD wondering around aimlessly in the forests here.

another fine SOUND REASON for another HK USP .45!

yes and it fits like a freeking GLOVE!

a note on these threaded barrels with o-rings. always LUBE the o-ring with silicone before installing. hk says to...............so i will not argue with them.........EVAR! they know more than me.

I've shot one of these and they're nice. But they're just not worth the money, IMHO. I have a USPc in .40 I'm going to sell. I loved it for a while, but, honestly, my Glock is more accurate and easier to replace for peanuts if I should lose it in a boating accident. My USP has some muzzle flip and I'm not a limp-wristed shooter by any means. I have stainless steel guide rods in all my SIGs and that tends to hold down the muzzle flip. I don't think they make them for HK, since they have an integral spring an bushing on the guide rod.

for $539.00 out da door..................and its in this condition.............i stole it.

placed it next to my spotless HK compact tactical .45(200 rds hammered thru it).........................and the lil gears in my head sent me straight to HKPARTS.com

and since i know hes making bank on parts....................and I AM SMARTER...........i let my fingers do the walking and found:

meprolight adjustable sights about $23 bucks less and ordered them. optics planet

bought the threaded barrel at SGC(of all places) $22 cheaper and bought it.

bought the thread protector also at SGC $2 bucks cheaper

wasnt going to pay mucho moron dollars for an "hk" soft nylon case so i ordered one from optics planet same damn thing except doesnt have "HK" logo, as everyone of my spoons is cased with all parts and cleaning kits integral. once ya start a collection you will understand my train of thought here. $67 bucks vs $200............DUH?

and bought me a damn nice specter arms MOLLE holster, which i have found is one of the best alongside binachi for a PLETHORA of mounting solutions anywhere on anything. mount mag pouches to it etc. mount on molle vest cross draw, standard draw-KWICKS-DRAW! its ambi and you can mount it to yer belt even.

i am at around $1000 bucks with everything i have ordered so far. i still have to find the HK MATCH TRIGGER KIT , found the HK MATCH HAMMER and TRIGGER(by itself doesnt come with kit).

ordered new mag spring

new mag bottom plate

ordered spare o-rings for match threaded barrel

ordered spare recoil spring

ordered extended mag release and roll pin

in the next couple of weeks hopefully i can find that damn factory match trigger kit.

in the meantime i have a nice lil project going and there will be no way in hell i could buy a QUALITY out of the box "MATCH" anything in .45 for around $1500 bucks, which when i add up all the receipts should be where i land when the fat lady sings.

the secret to parts is ...................THE INTERNET SURF!

and then...............because i can, and i like them.............OFF TO ROBAR(remember they run specials-and its called the "norton special" for polymer framed spoons-all internals all externals incl. slide) when finished with all the FOO FOO PARTS!

crap like i needed another spoon? its something to do.

I thought the ones with the threaded barrel were the "tactical" ones that came in a soft case or pistol rug and were north of $1000. I got mine for $427 at SGC, but added night sights and a trigger job. It's a sweet shooter, but I have better ones I like more.

what i got from cdnnsports was just a plain jane HK USP FULL SIZE .45 in grey plastic case with (1) 12rd mag for $539.

i added the threaded barrel yesterday as my 1st up-fixin.

sights will be here monday and i will tap the old ones out and install new match adjustable(rear) night sight and front night sight-3 dot.

mine was produced in 1998. has night sights but they are dim. they last 12 years . so 2012-1998=14 year old night sights. they still glow................but barely. if i squint real hard i can just make them out with these tired ol eyeballs.

sup-pwessor(suppressor) OR a MUZZLE FLASH REDUCER which i am told does very well at reducing muzzle rise.

until i try one...............well the jury remains out on how effective or just another flim flam part.

i am sending BOTH barrels back for fitment when it goes to hk georgia.

normally ya go from full size to compacts. im a retard and doing the reverse. what the hell, as mentioned before. doing 2-4 builds a year is fun stuff. its no longer how many , no longer how bad it looks, its the GIANT AZZ'D WARM FUZZY THAT THEY WERK EVERY DAMN TIME!

you know "pride in quality workmanship" A DYING ART!

Sorry, the M&P's do nothing for me. A few local guys have offered the same. Just don't want one. I only want an HK P7 at the moment.
