Auto-tuning Guitar

For you guitar guys on this board, this, new from Gibson:

Gibson Robot Guitar demo - YouTube

Is this just more proof that the Apocalypse is upon us? Or is it not that different from the digital tuners we already use? Please discuss.

Sacrilege!!!!

Yes cool tech... but tuning an instrument is part of learning... educating your ear to discern pitch.

These have been around a little while, don't seem to be catching on. I'm guessing people who want that level of being isolated from "playing" guitar are playing the video game.
