I now own a plane

Well I closed on the plane today, and had it delivered. I'm still in a little bit of shock on how much I spent. Except for my house, this is my largest purchase. Its old but at least its paid for.

Awesome! I love the paint by the way, it's a nice contrast to the typical boring and blah airplane paint scheme.

Beechcraft?
My screen is too small to see if the manufacturer is on the plane somewhere.
Looks like it was well cared for.

I think that is a beautiful aircraft. I am jealous.

I grew up flying around the midwest in my grandfathers Piper Cub. I've never owned a plane.

What is your plan again? You have multiple threads and I forgot. Will you finish your training in a "simple" plane and then get your endorsement for your complex plane and get the 25 hours dual for the ins. requirements in your Bonanza?

Really consider joining the Bonanza Society and when you can, go for their training programs. You get to meet a bunch of other Bonanza owners and really learn about your plane. One course is on mountain flying/high altitude. They meet in Leadville, Co. and you get to practice taking off and landing at North America's highest airport. Their programs really make you a better pilot.

I'm going to finish my PPL in the 172. Hopefully I'll be done by the end of the month. I need to log another hour of cross country time and 3 hours night. Then 3 hours of practice for the check ride. I'm set up for three times a week so unless I have problems, I should get this taken care of. Then I'm going to try and get the 25 hours in the complex a little quicker, we will just have to see how that goes. I only live about 5 miles from the airport and I can fly everyday, if I can find an instructor to go up with me.

Congratulations on the "new" 36. They are wonderful machines.

Let me know if you ever come to an ABS fly-in at KBEC, you'll be parking right outside my office. :)
