new to the club

finally joining the revolution by getting a smart phone!! got the latest droid for a song as my contract with verizon was up and got 4g for the price of 2g monthly ($30) for the life of my agreement. not sure if i will use that much or not.

that being said what are some apps that you guys feel i can not do without? also a few of my racer buddies have apps that use gps to get lap times and other data. do any of you guys use this and if so which do you recommend? any other pointers for a newbie? not sure i should be excited yet waiting for the fed ex guy to deliver,,, but i am being told my life will be changing..

That's what I am thinking as well, however my wife and a couple guys on the job have them. And I joke about my dumb phone works great for me. But I keep seeing these apps that would be really great to have right at hand.

I joined the dark side (smart phones) a few months ago, my friends were laughing at me for not having one and the deal was good so I took the plunge. This thing is great, how did I make it without one for so many years.
