Vintage is the way to go. There are a lot of cool old trailers out there. Here is a pic of my 1964 Streamline. We have pulled ours from Lake Michigan to South Florida, and thats just last year.

Thanks for all the replies and some great trailer pics. Looking at prices it seems that for about mid - high teens you can get a really well kept, everything functioning 28-30ft circa late seventies to mid 80's Airstream. When getting toward 90's and 2000's prices jump significantly.
Thanks again |

Not trying to hijack, but are any Pelicans familiar with Eriba (German) trailers like the 'Puck". I've seen some for sale (mostly sold) and am helping a friend look for a fibreglass European style trailer she can haul with her 4 Runner.

I'm not talking about using it as a permanent residence to store my treasures, more of the travel trailer variety...

Craig, here's a site with tons of info. We have a U-Haul fiberglass egg trailer that is like a Scamp or Casita. It was built by Dayton and can be pulled with one of our Corvairs with NO problem. I'd be glad to give you other places to look if that's helpful. The little fiberglass units hold their value pretty well, we're probably going to sell ours since we bought a Class A RV.

Hard to go wrong with a vintage Airstream , Avion, Silver Streak or Streamline. Last December I picked up a 1968 Avion C11 truck camper that I am going to restore. I am amazed how well it has held up over 43+ they really knew how to build quality back then. All aircraft construction with aluminum frames and real wood cabinetry. Restore a classic you won't regret it.
