Internal tube corrosion?

I never was around a cub, most of my hours are in one of those sophisticated Cessna 150's.

Owned a J-3 many years ago. Never had bungee problems. Changed the bungee cords once and it was a huge pita getting them stretched over the posts. A very basic springing system on a very basic aircraft. FUN to fly. Wish I still had it.

I grew up flying around southern Michigan in my grandfathers Cub. Wonderful times for kid.

Time to test the other tubing on the bird then. Get an automatic center punch and start punching the tubing, listening for bad spots...

All landing gear components are being replaced. $1800
