Spain F1 *spoiler*
Fantastic. I don't think Williams has won since 1996. Congrats to Moldanado. And Uncle Frank.

1st time winner of a Formula One race, 1st win for Williams in 8 years (& on Frank Williams' 70th birthday), 1st Venezuelan to ever win an F1 race & we can't see the press conference because of...a soccer game?! I actually like soccer, but on Speed TV? Why is soccer even on that channel? Disappointing. Congratulations to Pastor Maldonado on a great win. It would have been nice to hear him talk about it....

Another incredible drive by alonzo, overcoming a weak car.
And, another disappointing drive by massa. Same car, but he gets lapped by his team mate with 15 laps to go. Massa needs to go away, or least go drive indycar or crashcar. He no longer deserves a ride in F1. He's the worst performing driver in F1 now and he is consistently hurting his team week after week. Alonzo has 62 points, massa has TWO. Ferrari is in 4th place in the constructors championship and if massa had been performing at least close to the level that alonzo has been they'd be at least 2nd. I admire the loyalty but massa has to go. Now. That is, unless he has pictures of someone at ferrari and a pet goat ........ ![]() |

Again, someone posts a spoiler in the title. I guess I don't need to watch the recorded or rebroadcast race now. Poor ass manners.
Agree about Massa. As I said before, he is damaged goods after the hit in the head. He should retire and enjoy life. hardly anyone who has been severely injured returns to the former level of performance. Not too many like Lauda. |

is it really that difficult to use a title that doesn't give away the results? I just sat down to watch the tivo'd race and see this thread.
I edited the title. |

Williams last won a GP in 2004 (Montoya, Brazil). Villeneuve won the WDC with Williams in 1997.

Good racing for sure.
Best season of F1 in as long as I can remember. Who's the next winner? I'd like it to be Raikonnen, but I'm not sure that Monaco suits him.

Have not watched the race on Tivo yet but glad to hear who the winner was.
Sure wish that McLaren would get their act together. What kind of idiot pit crew does not put enough fuel in the car to get it around 3 laps? Then there is their cock-up in the last race....

Best season in years for sure.
Great to see the result for Williams and PM but if Kimi had been able to start his charge a few laps earlier it could just as easily been him on the first step. He was taking 1 1/2 to 2 seconds per lap off the leaders at the end and he finished only 6/10's behind FA. Would be interesting to see what he could do with a top team again. As far as McLaren goes they can't buy their way out of a pit lane mistake. Between the fueling "issue" yesterday and today's fiasco it is amazing that a team with that many resources can't get it together. Bring on the next race !
