Selling the Suburban:Got a text Finally getting around to selling the suburban. Got a text from a "marine engineer" asking questions. I responded that they should call. I have a mil spec flip phone, it sucks when it comes to texting. Said they couldn't call he's offshore. Ask a couple of detailed questions. then ask if a moving company could pick it up? I said yea after he paid me, but asked how he was going to sign bill of sale. Said moving company has power of attorney. This is a scam right? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1337018794.jpg |

Sounds like every scam I have heard about. |
 Yes. Ignore. Classic scam. |
 Yes, pure scam |
they will probably pay you with a check thats over the amount you want, thus you would return the extra cash to buyer, he doesnt really want your truck rather the extra cash |
Thanks, fellas... My Power of Attorney is pissed. |
Nice suburban--what are you asking? |
As long as the moving company hands you a wad of cash when they pick it up.... |
Tell him it doesn't float, he'll have to buy a boat. |
 Asking $5900 |
Really? Your Craigslist ad says $5700 |
 Hahaha |

It's a scam. Just sold a 2009 Ford Edge last week. Got ONE legitimate call. The rest were email flake-a-zoids or nigerian-scam-text artists. Off-shore drilling, people in the military on boats, people who want to send Western Union for the extra amount... etc., etc. angela |
