Amazon account advice

In the past few days, I have been getting this order cancellation notice in my email. We have only bought from Amazon twice a couple of years ago. We normally do not purchase anything over the net. Any advice? I am not even sure how to contact them. I ping them back through email and have not gotten any response since Thursday.

You're probably okay unless you entered some account info... here's a thread about the same thing from about a week ago:

another scam.....amazon related....

Phishing...

I've been getting a couple a day for the last 2 weeks.

Hoover your mouse over the the link and you'll see the real Internet address, probably somewhere in Russia.

You can not trust any communication that you do not originate.

Yesterday got a voicemail from Verizon re confirmation of a request to change my billing address.

I did not call back the number they left.

Got my bill and called the contact number printed there.

No record in the system abut a request for change of address.

Gave them the number that was left on the voicemail.

She said it starts out with the correct digits for them but she does not have the whole number in her system as one of theirs.

Does not mean it was not a legit call but you never know.

I would log onto Amazon the correct way, through a web browser, NOT THE EMAIL! and delete personal & CC info ASAP, and change the password.

Then notify/cancel? credit card if you had a CC on file with Amazon.
