Anyone in the USA who 16 years or older that can take a simple test and pay a few hundred bucks can get a drivers license.
81' Corolla, 7,000lb Excursion, or exotic super-car makes no difference.

Not in my home state. No high powered vehicles allowed. 16 year old's can't have turbo cars, V8's or any car deemed to be a high powered exotic. Get caught driving one of these cars on your probationary licence and you lose it for 6 months. They can also impound the car for 28 days.
