anyone want a 914 project cheap?
Saw these 2 on the way to the shooting range today... stopped on the way back, talked to the Bubba that had 'em. He's decided he'd rather build a dune buggy type thing, so he's interested in some trading or $1k cash for both along with a few boxes of parts and pieces. White one has no engine, red one is mostly complete mechanical wise (according to him). Engine in the red one ran recently, but he had to remove the electric fuel pump for some reason or other. I didn't open the lids, etc. No affiliation, interest, etc. although if you do get 'em let me know and perhaps we can meet up for a beer when you pick 'em up. They are on US 441 right next to I-75 in Columbia County Florida (half way between high springs and lake city).

If he paid me to take them I might consider it.

(That testarossa door and 908 quarter panel might look good combined.
Still missing a few elements. hmm...) Good link on the parts tho. |
Oh please.....even Byron wouldn't offer a trade.....

That's the old joke:
First Prize: A date with Madonna. Second Prize: 2 dates with Madonna! |
That's way lower than a set of steak knives.

Does the white one have 5-lug rims?

Many 914 "projects" are cheap initially.....as are 914s generally. Making one into something nice (stock or hot rod) is rapidly goes into 911$$ territory......then, on a real good day, if/when you sell you'll take it in the skivvies. BTDT:D

So I guess if you were to part out the one engine, the gauges, the AC system from the white one, and sell the remains you might break even... maybe. But only if your time is worth nothing. |
I guess he needs a grand for his crack pipe.
