Details | Jobs at Santa Fe | Human Resources | Santa Fe College | Gainesville, FL

Come on down to N Florida and teach... only have to teach 4 classes per semester for Fall and Spring, anything else is optional and paid at overload/adjunct rates.

Well, I would be much closer to my mother which would be nice, but I assume it would probably be a pay cut, plus I'd have to get the instructors cert, and it wouldn't be nearly as interesting as what I do now. But it sounds like a great opportunity for the right person.

I could teach telecom installation... None of the younger guys know how to lace. Bell / telcordia standards are a lost art.

It's in the salary schedule, 34k-64k per year without a doctorate, near 70k with. I could see doing something like this after I retire maybe, for the benefits.

And that salary is for working from basically the last week of august, thru the last week of april, with 2-3 weeks off for christmas/festivus/new year and another week off in early march for my birthday... i mean spring break.

Oh, and for those weeks you do work, a full time faculty is expected to be on campus or teaching (you can teach these classes online ya know...) for 25-30 hours per week....
