9 times out of 10, it's tolulene.

You can also get the same effect running some racing gas through it.

It's those little demons in a bottle that they use. The same ones that make you cell-phone work.

Temp fix which equates to snake oil.

Maxwell's demons?

those work real good in the Carnot engines

I think they even won Indy once after the demons had worked on 'em

The ethanol will start to dissolve all of the varnishes built up in your gas tank and push them to your carburetor. They re-congeal over a winter of disuse, and you have problems starting up the next year as your carb is clogged.

Ethanol will also soften certain types of rubber and plastic goods, such as your fuel line and gas tank, depending on what exactly they are made of. The dissolved goo will also get sucked into the carb and clog small passage ways.

In other words, clean your carb, check your tank and lines, and stop running ethanol blend gasoline.

Start Your Engines is sold at local part stores and works even better. I used both and after using Start Your Engines in a Quad that sat for 2 years it ran like new. Mechanic in a Bottle helped me get a weed wacker to start but not run that great. Try the other one in your mower and I think you will be happy with the results.

You will get used to it if you continue to spend time here. Wait until Christmas....

That color looks similar to Marvelous Mystery Oil. (Made of kerosene? +something?).
Slippery stuff.
Add a few drops to WD-40 spray, and you won't even be able to drill through aluminum with quality HSS bits.
