Ethanol will also soften certain types of rubber and plastic goods, such as your fuel line and gas tank, depending on what exactly they are made of. The dissolved goo will also get sucked into the carb and clog small passage ways.

In other words, clean your carb, check your tank and lines, and stop running ethanol blend gasoline.

Start Your Engines is sold at local part stores and works even better. I used both and after using Start Your Engines in a Quad that sat for 2 years it ran like new. Mechanic in a Bottle helped me get a weed wacker to start but not run that great. Try the other one in your mower and I think you will be happy with the results.
