The Banks accuser has her own kids now. More lives to be messed up. They better keep her identity and location secret because I can almost see some folks putting on some white sheets.

Don't know the law, but I'll bet he doesn't have a legal case. I wish he did, but I doubt it. No falsifying of evidence by the police, it was consensual so his stuff was in her. Plea deal, I think he's screwed on recourse.

I just read that the $1.5 million came from the Long Beach School District in a civil suit claiming their lax security is the reason she was "raped" I would say its not a question of if, but when they will go after her for all the money back. I wonder if they can tack on interest to it too...not like they will get much back I would guess though.

She committed numerous crimes, fraud on LB school district, perjury, etc, but the statute of limitations has run on all of them. Civil court is the only place anybody will be able to go for recompense.

No matter how hard you squeeze a POS, you will never get any money out of it.

Can he do that if he entered a plea bargain?

I'm no lawyer, but it seems since it would be a civil case that he could sue for whatever the judge allows to go to trial.

Update: "Court records suggest she has few assets: She received public assistance for a time and her children, ages 4 and 5, still do, according to two suits brought by the county in an attempt to collect child support.

Gibson [the accuser], who could not be reached for comment, was ordered initially to pay $600 a month toward their support. But in the last year, county officials said she didn't have to pay anything, citing a lack of income and employment.

More from the same article, "As for the money Gibson and her family received, the school district declined to comment. The attorney who represented the district in the civil negotiations said the confidential settlement paid Gibson $750,000 and not the $1.5 million cited in Banks' court filings. Attorney Allen L. Thomas said that during the three-year case, he doubted Banks' guilt on many occasions"

It sounds like the woman doesn't have custody of children born after the Banks incident. A dirt bag in every sense of the phrase.

Tobra 05-26-2012 12:45 PM

A woman in California that is the non-custodial parent.

You would pretty much have to be a serial axe murderer for that to be the case. It seems to me that the only way the unfortunate victim gets anything is by going after the cops. He would never have gone for the plea bargain deal if they had done their jobs. The report I read said there was none of his DNA on her undies, not likely if he had done the deed.

sammyg2 05-26-2012 06:09 PM

He confessed.

Zeke 05-26-2012 06:17 PM

Well, not really a confession. He took the plead deal to avoid a possible 41 year sentence. I would have done the same. You have to understand the being Black in Long Beach is what the cops quietly refer to as "male usual."

Update

He's getting a shot with the Falcons:D

I hope he makes it and is a star.

sammyg2 04-05-2013 03:57 PM

I predict he'll crash and burn, but deep down I hope I'm wrong.
