What headphones do you wear while running?

What headphones do you wear while running? I tried five different devices while running on the treadmill and none really worked well. Cord is just plugged into the headphone jack on the TV hung over the treadmill. I'm thinking I may need to run the sound through an amplifier to get enough volume.

I tried regular earbuds (fell out when sweaty), Jabra noise cancelling over the ear headphones (sounded good, but very sweaty), Klipsch earbuds (worked well, cord bouncing made a lot of noise), Sony on ear sport headphones (not loud enough), Sennheiser HD-490 on ear headphones (not loud enough).

Any other suggestions?

i scan for headphone/earbuds now when i ride my bike. some people have the music so loud my, "on your left!" goes unheeded. makes things interesting.

i've always wanted those BEATS earbuds for my bike rides..but they cost too much$$

Notice that there aren't any cords. A true blessing. These hold a charge via micro usb for 8-10 hours of use. Not going to work for your TV situation without a Bluetooth sender - but those are available. Connects to my phone and play music, GPS training info etc flawlessly. You can answer, and mute, your phone too. Forward, play, pause and reverse via A2DP AVRCP profile. The sound is quite good, deep bass.
I can push the aerobic level if I can't hear my breathing as well. :)

Bowers & Wilkins C5

Best I've found for working out since its design uses the wiring to keep it in your ear. Plus you can use to answer the phone if needed since it has a mic.

Another vote for the Motorola s305. Cheap too.

Never found a set that works, just doing without these days. Most last a few miles then start sliding off.

I've killed quite a few thanks to sweat. I'm thinking of getting those blutooth ones too. But for now I'm actually using old style in ear ones with an over the head band from a walkman circa 2003 or so. Don't fall out, sound is ok. Not that that does you any good though, so, sorry, nevermind.

Interested in seeing all the responses. I had a set of those over-the-ear-behind-the-head that I used for running for years. Can't run now so I bike, and the wind noise with these makes them unusable.

Great! Yeah, I'm no fan of running myself, but sit for hours when working so I have to do something. I do like trail running a lot more than road running.

I found a Samsung BluRay player at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago for $20. I wasn't looking for one, but couldn't pass it up at that price. Once I got it home it hit me that it would be great for streaming Netflix to a yet-to-be-purchased TV over the treadmill. Now that I have easy entertainment on the treadmill I've been putting on a lot more miles!

I found a really old/cheap pair of RCA clip-on earphones in a drawer that worked pretty well on tonight's run. The TV I installed isn't great as it has limited viewing angle. I'm hoping the replacement I ordered today puts out more volume and I can go back to my on-ear sport headset. If not, I'll probably just put the sound through a small amp. That would definitely solve the problem, but I'd rather not add another piece of equipment to the mix. I guess the real issue isn't about the headset, but getting enough volume out of what I already have.

I got shocked twice last week when running with my Klipsch earbuds. Wow, was that no fun! I'm sure it wasn't much of a shock, but inside the ear sure made it memorable. I'd be bummed if I killed that pair. They sound great... just not meant for use while sweating.

I do a lot of running & sweating. These are the only ones that work for me.

None. I just started back up myself for some blubber control after about two years. Never did wear anything. I want to hear anything that might be bearing down on me. Besides I must be good company to myself :D

I only wear on-ear headphones when running outside and keep the volume down to the point that I can have a conversation if I'm running with someone. The times when my Pandora has shut down while running makes me realize how important the distraction of the music is for me.

Having the TV over the treadmill really does wonders for my ability to run longer. Wish that wasn't "necessary," but I'm getting my moneys worth out of my Netflix streaming membership.

The Koss headphones are very similar to the RCAs I used last night. Based on the online reviews, they seem to be a lot of bang for the buck.
