Mostly what she's looking for is the ability to draw and/or colorize pencil drawings. She started doodling a couple of years ago and seems to have some natural talent. We went to the Phoenix Comicon over the weekend and learned that modern comic books are mostly hand drawn with the color added on the computer. She's quite a sponge when it comes to learning stuff so I thought I'd get her a copy of PS while the interest is there.

I didn't read all of the posts so this may have already been said but if ur kid is in school you can get the student discount on CS6 - that said, CS3 or 4 can be found cheap on eBay and such.
