Note to self: Next time I go to the beach, bring a tractor.
|
Happened with my S series Jimmy a few years ago......parking brake let go enough that it went 1/2 way in. The boat floated off the trailer and the end of the boat held the truck from going all the way under.

those guys are frikken brave going after that thing..
and where did they get TWO tractors? |
That was truly painful to watch.

Wow. How did they find so many donor vehicles to keep going after the originally stuck truck? All that to save a Chevy Equinox? Hope they POR'd those trucks before sticking them in the drink like that.

I will never have that many GOOD friends.
|
The sea was angry that day, my friend.

I've seen a number of these over the years at boat ramps and the beach. Hard not to laugh at some of them. Sometimes you have to just wonder what people are thinking. At least it looks like no one was seriouly injured, mostly pride and the wallet.
|
the biggest oddest launch I have seen
was a full sized crane truck they were trying to pull old piles and set the crane to low on the ramp slime did what slime does and the rig went in instead of the pile moving then it got odder 3 count them 3 full semi sized tow TRUCKS not pickups but semi cab huge trucks 3 ALL HOOKED UP TO THE CRANE BUT ONLY MANAGED TO LIFT THE FRONT WHEELS ON THE TOW TRUCKS about 2 feet even got the forward of the duel rears off the ground a little finally took 5 trucks to get the crane back out |

And I'm pretty shocked no rednecks were injured in the making of this film, considering how many people were standing around while they were gunning the trucks to try to get going. |
