Wow, I think the last time I stayed up all night like that was in 1986. I stayed up to see Haley's comet come up just before dawn. We watched it with 21 inch telecsope. It was still just a fuzy little blob.

He just wants to start own Stijn thread.

stomachmonkey 05-31-2012 08:13 AM

Anyone else read the thread title in Forest Gumps voice?

I cant think of any reason any more to stay up till 5.30am. We have a party coming up in July and I will take a tent there, pitch it in the back yard and when about 2 or 3 am comes around, I am going to sleep. There is nothing any more that keeps me up that long. After a few hours of sleep, I will volunteer to take the family home and if my daughter(sorry no pics) wants to drive she can as she very seldom drinks. The body was designed to sleep at night right?
:):):)

The closest I'll come to pulling an all nighter is coming up this Sunday. The Parts Heaven Swap meet is this Sunday (June 3rd, 2012) I'm going to give the ol swap meet a pull after not attending one to sell in about 20 years. Its going to be loading up all my stuff at O dark thirty, getting there a bit later then O dark thirty, having that first cup of coffee, unloading all my stuff, doing the whole meet and greet, check out everyone elses stuff....Crack a beer at about 8:30am (this only happens about once every swap meet...last time 20 years ago. :) ), and see how the day unfolds.
I am bringing lots of 2009 Cayman S interior parts (dash, glove box, center console...etc. Leatherette <sandy beige>, A Pioneer NAV/CD/Phone/Blue tooth head unit, 993 suspension parts, electrical dodads ...etc. etc. My boss is selling some of his 356 treasures as well.
I am also bringing a 1986 Carrera Cabriolet for sale too. (This belongs to one of our customers. Great car!)
Hope to see some of you there.

syncroid 05-31-2012 07:43 PM

Oh. BTW, The Cayman interior color is sandy beige.

I now have "Things" on my mind.

fastfredracing 08-17-2012 07:49 AM

I'm attempting to pull an all nighter tonight. Get home from work at about 5:30, load the truck, pack my clothes, take a 2 hour nap, then load the family, and plow my way through the 14 hour drive down to the outer banks.
I used to be a road warrior ,and this drive would have been a walk in the park, but I am getting older, and like my sleep Shaun's recent foible is stuck in my mind, and I will pull over if I have to .

syncroid 10-17-2012 10:11 PM

Still tired... Got puppies on my mind. Poopies = puppies...visa versa, same difference.
I'm on duty, dootie patrol...
See you all manyana

trekkor 10-17-2012 10:18 PM

I'm up at 5:00 tomorrow.

That's not normal.

I am off this week and I get to sleep in till 5. I get up to make coffee so Beth has a fresh hot cup waiting for her when she opens her eyes.

biosurfer1 10-18-2012 07:53 AM

Last October I had to pull an involuntary all-nighter. Flew to Conn. from Cali for a couple meetings, only to get there and find out the power was out in most of the state (completely my fault, should have checked) Couldn't get a taxi, hotel or anthing. Hung out in the airport until 6am and took the next flight back. Never did sleep in the airport and got home around 3pm the next day...

The one side benefit of the fiasco was when I got home I took a 2 hour nap that was by far the BEST nap I have ever taken!

syncroid 11-19-2013 08:59 PM

Two nights in a row... Wake up at 3:00 no sleep. Plus side...Sold a car for a customer today. :)
