Unknown Part. Amaze me!!
Probably Porsche related; came with a load of other parts purchased together which were strictly Porsche, mostly early 911. Other than that, I know nothing about these:
edit: tape measure is up in air, not an inch forward. They measure out around 13". http://img.tapatalk.com/1862ec07-0408-2bcb.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/1862ec07-0433-4698.jpg |
I think they go on the trailing edge of the door frame...as seen in this picture....

Scott is right. Those are the rear, vertical wind deflectors for early brass/chrome window frames (pre-68) coupes and maybe even later targas. Later frames were aluminum and the flared deflector was part of the vertical frame rather than screwed in like the earlier ones.
Edit: Just had a memory fart. Targas did not have the rear window frame. Those were from a coupe. (Hey Scott, how's everything? Long time, no see!) |

And I didn't even have to google that one. |
I will take them out to check on the '68 . . . oh, wait. PRE 68. Does that mean they're chrome plated gold?
Edit: They are precisely the same height as my quarter windows. This forum never ceases to surprise me!! Wonder if they can be made to work on my car? |

Sometimes I amaze myself, I knew I had seen those before, had felt them even, but couldn't quite place them, 'till I looked at my pictures.
L.J. - things are going well, thanks. Hope all is well with you. Got a Porsche? |
