Sauber F1 sliced in half

An interesting look at an F1 car:

I could have spent an hour looking at that in person. Thanks for posting.

That is pretty cool...very efficient use of space... I could never spend two hours with my feet above my hips....

Porsche always did cutaways of there cars and engines...those were intersting displays.

Very cool... thanks for posting it.

However, just seeing the thread title reminded me of this crash which I know many here remember... so glad I wasn't there to witness it:

Didn't realize they had their feet up like that. Spread 'em a few more inches and it'd look like they're about to get examined in a girly-type manner.

Wow, fascinating ... thanks for posting.

TheMentat 05-31-2012 07:21 PM

I'd love to see a similar cutaway of the Mercedes, with the DRS activated ducting!

HardDrive 05-31-2012 07:32 PM

Very cool.

herr_oberst 05-31-2012 07:41 PM

Wow. That boggles the mind. And it's at least 2 years old!

Jeff Higgins 05-31-2012 09:14 PM

Rats. I don't think I would fit.

I always thought the drivers were 18" tall with big ole heads :). Cool video!!!

azasadny 06-01-2012 04:00 AM

Cool video! Thanks!

URY914 06-01-2012 04:10 AM

Looks like they build the car around the driver.

What a horrible seating position. My Caldwell Formula Vee was bad ( totally flat on your back..) but not like that.

GH85Carrera 06-01-2012 04:19 AM

Cool video. I would like to that thing in person.
