Back to the Future- Depressing Thought O' The Day

Watching the BTTF trilogy on HBO and a thought just occurred to me. If they were to remake these movies today, the 50's would be the 80's. And the 80's would look just as old to today's generation as the 50's did to my generation when we saw these in the theater.

I am sooooooooo friggin' OLD!!

I think about that as well.

My Dad always talked about how the 50's were so cool. He was a young adult at that time.

Now, I tell my kids how cool the 80's were. Yep, I'm gettin' old too.

I recommend the Principal Strickland approach!!

As for my own depression, I just downed an entire apple pie to help ease the pain.

edit: After the NTSB 1963/2008 Impala crash tests a few years ago I have doubts about Doc Brown's, "Marty, he's in a '46 Ford, we're in a DeLorean. He'd rip through us like tinfoil." comment in BTTF II. HIGHLY doubt this fact. But time travel I can accept.

It's 2012, I just want my hover board.

The 80s were cool.

Non-structural stainless steel panels attached to a composite understructure. Tinfoil.

I thought about this the other day as well. A bit sad that the 80's were 30 years ago. Doesn't feel like it.
