today was my last day at work

I don't know if I'll be back in Oct. or next Jan. but I'm pumped to have the summer off, first time in 35 years that I'll have the summer off. Got lots planned with the 930, some repairs and a couple of longer trips. My normal break was a bit over 2 weeks and by the time I got home and rested up there was little time to do some of these projects, my shift at work is 25-26 days on and 15-18 days off and its 12/7 and overseas work so I'm glad to be home. Here's the kicker, the company I work for is going to pay me to stay home and not go to work for anyone else!!!!!:) My contract pays me every day of the year even if I'm on time off but even for me this is a huge thing, almost like being retired with x 6 pension. Bring it on. Sorry for bragging a bit guys but this is special news and I had to share it. SmileWavy

Sounds like a break well deserved. I cannot even fathom what I would do with that much time off. Enjoy it!

Congratulations!
There must be some kind of rule book to follow for when u retire. I have been retired several years now.
No schedule on the fridge door. I forget the author but it reminds of the book, "Riding off madly in all directions".Ah yes, Stephen Leacock. Enjoy!:):):)

Enjoy youself Finn. Lake nailed it. I have been a hell of a lot busier since retirement. Hockey is over & done with so get to work on the 930 & don't forget the mandatory 'brewskis'.

Cheers
JB
