When I used to go to Parker AZ I would go through Desert Center. Years ago there was nothing there but a burger stand in the middle of nowhere. We used to call it "Iguana on a Stick."

Looks like there is still nothing there. Joe B., you'd be bored inside of a day.

Well, go to Vegas and buy a house next door to tabs. The median price fell to about 150K for a 3 bed. And there is a decent hospital and medical care in LV. The weather might even be better.

Last time I went through there they had really built the place up pretty good, there was one abandoned gas station and two closed down fast food joints

rice road (hwy 177 IIRC) heads north of there to Parker, we used to call it the 100 mph road.

I'm not going to say who, but many years ago "someone" in his yoot was going fast enough on that road to make the beverage can in the center console of his van float when going over the hoop-ty-doos


BTW, ..... I heard a rumor that chuckwalla raceway is near there

Only.......$30K for a lifetime membership. They are pretty proud of that place. 2.7 miles......been past it, thought it was a roundy round dirt track. Guess I was wrong.

yeah but you can still get on the track for under $200 a day...
Would be nice to find a weekend rental by your lake for a race weekend.
