Have you got a photo of your house now from the same position and perspective? I love those "Then and Now" and "Before and After" pics that show how neighbourhoods have evolved.

Zeke 06-14-2012 04:22 PM

Yeah, let's hope it doesn't have those aluminum awnings anymore.

craigster59 06-14-2012 04:31 PM

Well, he owns a 911 so we know there's still the oil stain in the driveway....

Ha! I hated them when I got the house but I am starting to like them more and more. It keeps the sun from warming the house too much and keeps the glare off the TV.

Here is a shot of it last week with after a solid month of yard work.

Well, there are windows now that do that. I wasn't real kind so sorry about that.

I think they would blend in handsomely if they were painted in one of the brick tones.

Hawkney911 06-14-2012 06:03 PM

No worries Zeke! You bring up a good point and they will probably go when I can afford some new windows. They are the originals still on the house. I just turned 25 so funds are a little tight. :)

call me crazy..but i like those old school alum awnings.

i took them off my house, and i kinda regret it. done right, i think they look really nice.

nice place hawk!! very charming..great curb appeal!

A930Rocket 06-14-2012 10:27 PM

Sweet looking house and the curb appeal is much better now post landscaping.

BTW - Leave the awnings. I think they look cool!

GWN7 06-14-2012 10:31 PM

+1 for the awnings

Jim Richards 06-15-2012 06:14 AM

Yep, keep the awnings.

It took me all of 5 seconds to say PACKARD...the Tail Lights scream PACKARD...and the Bulbous body...

intakexhaust 06-15-2012 08:27 AM

Those aluminum awnings work and add character. Tough call on pulling them during new window replacement. Congrats and enjoy your 'new' home.

sammyg2 06-15-2012 08:37 AM

Tabs and me are sure it's a Packard. We knew it right away sort of.
What do we win? ;)
